This is going to be cheesy and from the heart and lame and crap. Deal with it.
I feel extremely lucky to live in a community like Austin where creativity is thriving. It has encouraged me to take chances I wouldn’t otherwise have. I have always loved film and writing, but it wasn’t until moving to this buzzing city years ago from the desert that I discovered that I have the real opportunity to make films! I love it. All of it. After my experience writing and producing Summer League, I was hooked. I loved every moment, every person, every scene, every meal. The support and genuine love for film that I felt from every crew member and actor was inspiring. It gave me the courage to take another chance - direct. That is where I am now withWind & Rain - I am about to direct my first feature film.. my second time writing/producing. It is exciting and scary and exhilarating. I do this for the love of telling stories - I want to make something beautiful that other people can enjoy and will hopefully enrich their lives the way so many movies have enriched mine. I love this story, the people involved, and the process. I know that no matter what, this film will turn out well - I won’t let it happen any other way. But as with any film, it wouldn’t be possible without the support of my friends, family, and the creative community. I am eternally grateful to everyone who has and will be a part of Wind & Rain. We are gearing up to film soon, and I know I can count on you to send me positive vibes throughout the process. If you are thinking you want to help make this film, please consider contributing to our Indiegogo campaign - we only have a few days left to reach out goal. If you can’t contribute, I hope you at least consider sharing it.
Thanks again… and sorry for rambling.
